Organic Farming: Thursday, May 30, the event of the Tuscan Organic Producers Coordination organized in collaboration with the Institute of Plant Sciences of the Sant'Anna School

The Plant Sciences Institute of the Sant'Anna School is organizing, together with the E. Avanzi Agri-Environmental Research Center of the University of Pisa, the Tuscan Organic Producers Coordination, the Tuscan Maremma Organic District and the Cervetti Project a event dedicated to Organic Agriculture in the Tuscan Maremma for Innovations in Pest Management, hosted by the "La Selva" Organic Farm in Albinia (Grosseto).

The event, scheduled for Thursday, May 30, beginning at 9 a.m., is coordinated for the Sant'Anna School by Paolo Barberi, Associate Professor in Agronomy and Herbaceous Crops, and Giovanni Pecchioni, hub coach of the IPM works project, and is open to farmers and technicians interested in seeing the field use of innovative machinery and equipment for mechanical weed management, made available by Progetto Cervetti srl. The annual membership meeting of the Tuscan Organic Producers Coordination is scheduled during the event.

The Tuscan Organic Producers Coordination, together with the Toscana Biologica Consortium, the Association for Biodynamic Agriculture in Florence, and the Rural Seed Network, has been the promoter of the foundation of a network of stakeholders on the subject that now has nearly three thousand members to discuss Tuscan organic farming, including organic and biodynamic farms and associations that are working on the subject. The network made up of organic farms and representatives of associations related to organic and biodynamic farming and research organizations that are committed to the topic, such as the group of professors, researchers from the Plant Science Institute of the Sant'Anna School, are the main stakeholders in the event.
